The CNU School of Architecture turned out its first eight graduates in 1956. Recognizing the need to solidify the bond between alumni and to have them realize the importance of making contributions to their alma mater, several alumni established an alumni association on May 28, 1966.
Since the 1980s, a general meeting has been held on an annual basis to promote the close relationship between alumni. As of 2010, the number of alumni members reached about 1,600, and the association carries out a range of projects, including fund raising for the development of the school. It published a book about the history of the CNU School of Architecture to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the school in 2002. It has also held a photo exhibition, alumni works exhibition, homecoming day event, alumni field day event, etc. The home-coming day event occurs every year.
SangJoon Choi (Vice President of Namwha Contruction Corp.) donated the funds to build the 4th floor of Engineering Building II, and Seung-Hyun Park (President of Young Jin Construction Corp.) donated the funds to renovate the exhibition hall on the first floor of the same building. The expenses to hold the‘ Andang Lecture’are provided by SeungRyong Lee (President of ChungDo Construction Corp.).
