Architectural Engineering Accreditation
Architectural Engineering is concerned with the planning, design, construction, and operation of engineered systems for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities. The Architectural Engineering program aims to foster talented personnel that can bring about innovation based on their knowledge of construction projects, their problem-solving ability and their implementation of sustainable development in the construction industry. To this end, students are provided with professional knowledge and practical training. Thus, it offers the Capstone Design course that integrates several architectural and engineering design philosophies and methodologies into a comprehensive project. The CNU Architectural Engineering program includes more engineering courses designed to satisfy the ABEEK (Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) requirements of 2007 and will be subject to an accreditation examination in 2011. The curriculum of the program ensures that all courses meet the 12 educational goals under the accreditation standard and extends every possible form of support to foster students equipped with a certain level of technical and research abilities.
