Architectural Environment & Acoustics

he Building Acoustic Lab studies the noise and vibration related to an architectural environment. It actively participates in the international efforts to standardize the ISO/TC43 (acoustics)
field and, recently, has led the efforts to standardize the KS acoustic field. Meanwhile, with the need to establish a local environmental standard for airplane and train noise pollution, the relevant research is continuously being conducted. The lab also conducts such research in cooperation with the KOSEF Building Acoustic Materials Lab and the Ground Transportation Noise Control Technology Research Association, under the Environment Ministry.
