Chonnam National University’s School of Architecture has played a central role in serving the community by producing architects equipped with sophisticated techniques and creative thinking for the past 60 years. Under the slogan‘Bring up those who build heart,’we provide a program to educate and train ‘creative architects’with the ability to realize public ecological visions and‘professional engineers’with innovative problem solving skills.

The School of Architecture encourages its students to recognize the critical role of architecture in society and be active in facing and solving real problems. It also provides them with an excellent educational environment, where they can gain a better understanding of various cultures and grow into outstanding architects or engineers.

The alumni of CNU School of Architecture play pivotal roles in their fields throughout the country. Their love and respect for their alma mater has been demonstrated by their donations to scholarship projects, special programs, building renovations and career guidance programs.

The CNU School of Architecture now serves as a central research hub for environmentally-friendly and sustainable technology and has the strong support of the government. We feel very proud of the remarkable achievements our professors have made thus far in close cooperation with businesses in the relevant fields. We are now fully ready to take another great leap forward. We will build new educational programs and systems to train global leaders in the region. Through such efforts, I am certain that the CNU School of Architecture, through its specialized educational programs and innovative research environment, will play a significant role in the shaping of outstanding architects.
