Construction Informatics Laboratory.
The Construction Informatics Laboratory combines cutting-edge IT technologies such as artificial intelligence, construction automation, information and communication technology, advanced data analysis technology, and visualization technology in the construction management field: 1) to effectively utilize information generated throughout the construction project, 2) to develop a new technology for construction management, and 3) to improve the value of construction projects. To this end, the laboratory is conducting a variety of interdisciplinary research, including user-centered analysis of the construction environment, the analysis of interrelationship between construction environment and a user’s behaviors, improvement of industrial safety in the ergonomic concept, and development of indoor location tracking technology using wireless communication technology. Moreover, efforts are being made to train researchers and technicians in the construction IT.
